AIM: One Year On – Bridging Academia & Industry
The AIM program, a core innovation of RIKE-SD, was designed to close the persistent gap between academia and industry by fostering visibility and mobility between these key development drivers.
Despite extensive research efforts, academia struggles to connect with industry, which continues to rely on foreign knowledge and technology, limiting local impact. Meanwhile, the rise of tech hubs and young innovators challenges traditional education models, urging industry to align with emerging talent rather than established institutions.
Academia, once a knowledge hub, now faces competition from democratized information online, while industry shifts toward innovation hotspots. AIM urges academia to reclaim its position as the epicenter of innovation by actively showcasing its vast research output.
With over 50 academic partners, AIM2.0 will launch in 2025 with a focus on rebranding these institutions under the Research Influencers Community (RIC) for greater visibility and driving project-based collaboration through a global impact investment network. #AIM2.0 will not just chase — it will attract.
