With a stellar background in higher education spanning across private, university, and non-governmental sectors, Joy's remarkable journey took her to new heights when she collaborated with several African governments. Her astounding efforts paved the way for remarkable opportunities, an awe-inspiring achievement worth a staggering USD 1.3 Million.

Currently, Joy embarks on an awe-inspiring venture, working closely with 15 African countries that have embraced a noble initiative. These countries have pledged to invest 1% of their GDP in Higher Education and Research and Development, truly a beacon of hope for the continent's progress and prosperity.

Joy's vision transcends borders, culminating in groundbreaking North-South collaborations. Through her tireless dedication, African governments and academic communities now enjoy equitable access to open-source research discovery solutions, catapulting them into the global scientific arena.

Beyond her incredible leadership at TCC Africa, Joy assumes a crucial role as a board member of AfricArxiv, the continent's sole preprint repository. This prestigious affiliation enables her to empower African researchers and institutes to optimize their data output, claim their academic sovereignty, and bask in the limelight of international recognition through the strategic utilization of preprints and personal identifiers.

In her unwavering commitment to fostering knowledge sharing and cultivating a vibrant research ecosystem, Joy conceived the groundbreaking TCC Africa thought leadership research capacity webinars. Through this ingenious platform, African researchers savor the opportunity to immerse themselves in various aspects of the research life cycle and embrace the transformative power of #openscience in Africa, fostered by an array of enriching North-South collaborations.
