H.E. Ambassador David Doyle is a distinguished EU Regulatory Policy Expert with a remarkable career spanning several decades. He currently serves as the Ambassador to UNESCO (pro bono), a role he has held since January 2006, accumulating an impressive 17 years of experience in this diplomatic position in Paris, France.
Prior to his ambassadorial role, Ambassador Doyle occupied the role of Secretary of the financial services working party of the all EU Parliamentary party body in Brussels, The Kangaroo Group, as well as being a long-standing member of its board, comprising MEPs, corporates and other EU Institutions.
Ambassador Doyle's expertise in regulatory matters is well-rooted in his lengthy association with the OECD, where he served as an Administrator in the budget and finance services for over 22 years until 2002, based in Paris, France.
Before his involvement with the OECD, David Doyle was assigned to the Irish government's trade mission (now Enterprise Ireland) in Paris, mid-1975 as a Marketing Adviser, having been recruited in November 1974 in Dublin upon graduation from Trinity College University Dublin, Ireland.
Dr. Doyle is also an author of three books on management control, notably Cost Control - A Strategic Guide, published in the UK and appearing in 17 foreign editions.
