Meet the brilliant mind of Dr. Atwa Ahmed Atwa
Born on the 22nd of December 1971, Dr. Atwa obtained his Ph.D. in Economic Entomology from Cairo University, Egypt in 2003.
Currently, he serves as a distinguished figure at the Plant Protection Research Institute, Agriculture Research Center, Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, Egypt, a position he has held since 2005.
In April 2015, his outstanding contributions were acknowledged, and he was granted the esteemed title of Full Professor in Integrated Pest Management and Biological Control.
Dr. Atwa's reach extended far beyond Egypt's borders. From October 2008 to June 2018, he lent his expertise as a consultant to the Deanship of Scientific Research and the Supervisor of the Science and Technology Innovation unit at King Abdul-Aziz University, Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Leading the charge for technological advancement, Dr. Atwa assumed the role of Director of the Technology Management and Commercialization Office at ARC in January 2019.
Among his remarkable achievements is the inception of the groundbreaking Mega collaborative fund for Smart Agriculture Clinic project in collaboration with Nile University, commencing in December 2020.
Notably, in 2022, Dr. Atwa secured funding for the Agriculture Research Center business incubator "ARC-CABI," providing a nurturing space for ingenious agricultural startups.
His wisdom extends far through his scholarly works. Dr. Atwa boasts over 40 scientific papers published in excellence journals, in addition to 3 Arabic books and 2 English chapters on bioinsecticides.
