Meet the remarkable Professor Babatunde Lawal Salako, a visionary and trailblazing medical expert, whose journey began on 23rd July 1959 in the vibrant city of Ota, Nigeria. His academic pursuit was marked by excellence and determination, with educational milestones at Ansar-ud-deen schools and later Ansar-ud-deen College Offa, where he graduated at the pinnacle of his class, setting a record as the best performer that year.

Determined to make a difference in the world of medicine, Professor Salako pursued a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree at the prestigious University of Ibadan, graduating in 1986. Subsequently, he embarked on an illustrious career, joining the University College Hospital, Ibadan, where he quickly rose to prominence, becoming a revered lecturer and consultant nephrologist.

His thirst for knowledge and commitment to excellence led him to undertake various management and certificate courses, further honing his skills. A testament to his dedication, he obtained fellowships from esteemed institutions like the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh and London.
